Agile Space Breaks Ground on Tulsa Space Test Center

In November 2024, Agile Space Industries announced development plans for their Tulsa Space Test Center. On Friday, January 23rd, Agile broke ground on its new Space Center in Tulsa, marking a major milestone. The event brought together national, state, and industry leaders including our Managing Partner Nathaniel Harding.

This facility is designed to be a location for space engine testing and to support the current need for advanced in-space propulsion testing in the United States.

Key figures like Tulsa Mayor Monroe Nichols, former NASA Administrator and Managing Partner of The Artemis Group Jim Bridenstine, and Agile Space CEO Chris Pearson all spoke on the vital role that the Tulsa Space Test Center is bound to play. The facility will ultimately anchor the growth of Oklahoma’s emerging space ecosystem. Construction is expected to be completed in 2027.

For over 15 years Agile Space Industries has led the way in aerospace propulsion and testing. With facilities in Durango, Colorado and Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, we are excited to see Tulsa, Oklahoma added to that list. This marks a huge step for Oklahoma and demonstrates the advancements being made in the region.

Portco Highlight: Senslytics

Meet this month’s PortCo highlight, Senslytics. Senslytics is an energy technology company led by CEO Blake BixlerRecognizing the challenges and inefficiencies plaguing asset management in the energy sector, the founding team developed an AI platform to transform how engineers prevent costly equipment failures and optimize maintenance operations.

Senslytics delivers cutting-edge AI solutions that remove the guesswork from predictive maintenance for oil and gas operators, energy companies, and industrial asset managers. Their proprietary CausX AI platform analyzes operational data to identify root causes of potential failures and delivers actionable predictions with transparent reasoning. This transforms a once reactive process into a proactive strategy completed in minutes instead of hours. This revolutionary approach is powered by their product suite: ResVoirX, which enhances mudgas logging accuracy for reservoir properties, CorroX, a solution that pinpoints accelerated corrosion early to extend asset lifespan, and Contamination Monitoring, a service which prevents fluid sample issues during wireline formation tests.

We invested in Senslytics in 2022 because we recognized their unique and proven technology could transform multiple industries. Blake Bixler and advisor Hani Elshahawi bring decades of combined expertise and have channeled their knowledge into advancing the sector. We are proud to support Senslytics and look forward to their continued growth. Read about Why We Invested in Senslytics on our Cortado Ventures Insights page.
