Builder Highlight: Black Women Business Owners of America
Based in Tulsa, with an Oklahoma City Chapter, Black Women Business Owners of America is a business association that supports Black women entrepreneurs, business owners and startup founders.

Team Highlight: Mansi Patel
Born and raised in Norman, OK, Mansi Patel serves as Cortado’s Investment Analyst. After completing her MBA from the University of Oklahoma, Mansi joined the Cortado team in February 2022. She was raised by entrepreneurs in the hospitality and real estate industries. She has expanded on the learned knowledge of her upbringing and focuses her expertise on fintech, hospitality and healthcare. She is a lover of traveling and the outdoors.
Q: Mansi, what’s your vision for entrepreneurship in Oklahoma and the Midcontinent?
A: “I envision Oklahoma and the region becoming more energy tech and healthcare focused. It is my hope that our lifestyle, quality of life and pace attracts entrepreneurs from the coasts, their ideas, energy and family.”

Recuro Health Announces Conv. Note; acquires WellVia
Recuro Health announced funding of a convertible note, co-led by ARCH Venture Partners & Cortado Ventures. The company also announced its acquisition of WellVia, a premier virtual health provider.
Relativity6 announces $5.25M round
Relativity6, the leading AI platform for industry classification, announced that it has raised a $5.25m seed round. Funding will be used to accelerate sales efforts within commercial insurance underwriting, drive expansion into new financial services markets, and fuel the development of additional critical business data points. 2022 OVF Awards
Oklahoma Venture Forum will host the OVF Awards ceremony on May 18th, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Oklahoma History Center. Cortado investment, Boddle Learning, is a finalist for Most Promising New Venture. Tickets can be purchased here.
Innovation District: Cocktails & Convos
This rotational networking event will be held at Kindred Spirits on May 10. Innovation District will buy the first round for the first 50 people who attend.
Nominate Innovators
405 Business magazine is presenting the inaugural launch of The Innovator Awards. The program honors companies, CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, entrepreneurs and other leaders driving innovation in Central Oklahoma. 405 Business will reveal the winners in the August/September issue of the magazine.
