Cortado Ventures invests in workplace safety platform Safety Radar
Tulsa-based startup is an AI-driven risk management platform
OKLAHOMA CITY — Cortado Ventures has invested in Safety Radar, a Tulsa-based, AI-driven platform that helps organizations manage operational risks by quickly identifying and addressing potential hazards to protect employees, assets, and reputations. Safety Radar provides a comprehensive approach to risk management, offering real-time data collection and analysis to transform workplace safety practices.
“Safety Radar’s innovative solutions provide not only logistical efficiency but also enhance safety and security in workplaces,” said Cortado Ventures’ Managing Partner Nathaniel Harding. “Workplace safety is crucial, and Cortado is excited to invest in a company that will serve Oklahoma industries and beyond by providing certainty and reducing risks in hazardous environments.”
It is estimated that a workplace injury occurs every six seconds with workplace injuries estimated to cost more than $160 billion annually. Safety Radar’s Live Risk Platform utilizes advanced AI technology to analyze a company’s data allowing less time spent reading reports and more time addressing risks and keeping employees safe.
“We’re thrilled to receive this recognition from Cortado. We’ve poured significant effort into building AI that saves companies time and money, and most importantly helps keep people and assets safer,” said Garrison Haning, Safety Radar CEO. “Helping our customers’ safety programs is what gets us up in the morning, and this investment will enable us to continue this mission, maintaining our focus on providing swift, accurate, and comprehensive risk management solutions.”
Prior to the funding round, Safety Radar was a participant in the Tulsa-based nonprofit startup incubator Rose Rock Bridge. Cortado Ventures was a key participant in the Safety Radar investment, with EIC Rose Rock leading the investment round. Based in Tulsa and Denver, Safety Radar expects to scale up and continue to make an impact in the regional community.
