In November 2024, Agile Space Industries announced development plans for their Tulsa Space Test Center. On Friday, January 23rd, Tulsa saw the beginning of this major milestone come to life with Agile breaking ground on their new Space Center. The event brought together national, state, and industry leaders including our Managing Partner Nathaniel Harding.
This facility is designed to be a location for space engine testing and to support the current need for advanced in-space propulsion testing in the United States.
Key figures like Tulsa Mayor Monroe Nichols, former NASA Administrator and Managing Partner of The Artemis Group Jim Bridenstine, and Agile Space CEO Chris Pearson all spoke on the vital role that the Tulsa Space Test Center is bound to play. The facility will ultimately anchor the growth of Oklahoma’s emerging space ecosystem. Construction is expected to complete in 2027.
For over 15 years Agile Space Industries has led the way in aerospace propulsion and testing. With facilities in Durango, Colorado and Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, we are excited to see Tulsa added to that list. This marks a huge step for Oklahoma and demonstrates the advancements being made in the region.
