Moving forward, the monthly updates from Cortado Ventures will be named “Doubleshot Newsletter.” The name derives from the recipe of a cortado drink which consists of two shots of espresso, mixed with equal parts of steamed milk. Similar to the drink, we hope these updates keep you alert with the latest news, investments and happenings in Cortado Ventures’ entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Cortado Ventures Reaches First Close of Fund II
In less than two months, we raised the first $20 million of our $80 million Fund II, indicating a strong appetite for investment in innovative and solutions-driven technology in Oklahoma and the immediate region. Born and raised in Miami, Oklahoma, Hailey Moxley joined Cortado Ventures in March after a five year stint as an investment accountant in her previous role. Hailey brings a broad-based accounting experience in Business Administration, Financial Planning, and Real Estate in her new role. Hailey is supporting our accounting, HR, and fund administration needs as well as serving as a fractional accountant to our portfolio companies who need it. This is a powerful and cost-efficient value add to our portfolio, and another reason that Cortado is special. She is a proud graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma.
